Piedra River Trail

Awesome 7.8 mile hike along the beautiful Piedra River.
We hiked through an amazing box canyon and past two bridges.
It was a beautiful hike and the leaves are just starting to turn.

4 Mile Falls

Amazing hike to beautiful 4 Mile Falls. Although it was a bit overcast and sprinkled a little,
the cool weather was perfect for hiking and we had a wonderful time and even saw several grouse.

Lake Eileen Trail
8/6
This was a four mile round trip hike located north of Vallecito Reservoir and is rated as moderate to difficult because of the steep uphill climb.
We had magnificent mountain views and were the only ones at the lake which was surrounded by lily pads and beautiful wildflowers.

Archuleta Trail
7/14
We hiked 8.65 miles starting at Big Meadows Reservoir and hiked along the stream and saw lots of wildflowers. On the way back we hiked about two miles through the rain which actually felt outstanding since it cooled us off from the warm day.

Awesome hike with lots of river crossings, huge ferns and wildflowers, outstanding mountain views and at the end … hot springs! It was 11 miles round trip. It was a long hike, but not too hard.

Cimaronna Trail

Meet at the entrance to the Cimmarona Campground at 8:30 am. We will hike approximately 5 miles total through conifers and aspen groves with great views of Williams Creek Reservoir. Bring a lunch and water. The first couple miles are moderately easy then begins switchbacks up the mountain. This was a great hike and the wildflowers were amazing!
